We just found out today that Cryptic Studios maker the anticipated Star Trek MMO (Like you didn't know that!) has been acquired by French company Atari Games. The acquisition was inclusive of the STO Project, and development of Star Trek Online should not be effected by the change in ownership.

The first User Server in The Unofficial Star Trek Online IRC Network has been launched, you can visit it at amargosa.stoirc.com or you may connect to any server in the STOIRC Network by connecting to irc.stoirc.com. The Amargosa Chat Server, as well as our Services Server are provided by MrGoo, and Cap from Holodeck3.com and The SubspaceLink Site Network.
